A technology tour for the leadership in education
Goal:
To bring the school district’s leadership together in a forum to directly experience some of todays leading technologies. Key school staff is invited onsite to major area companies in an effort to better educate and prepare San Antonio high school students for college and the technology workforce.
Why:
Too often, the teachers find it difficult to keep up with what is current and vital in industry trends. With this program we strive to empower teachers with knowledge crucial in passing along proper vision to inspire and guide students. Working together, we can:

Help San Antonio Schools to better grow technology talent
Build corporate cohesion in the community and a better corporate system
How:
Y&L Consulting, Inc. has planned a teacher’s workday for the Southside Independent School District. Key Southside teachers, administrative staff, IT staff and counselors will be participating and attending the trip.
Y&L will host a visit to four leading businesses in San Antonio that optimize technology. This will expose the schools’ leadership to the needs and opportunities within the technology workplace. Y&L will work with the school and each company on schedule, presentation, walk-through, in order to maximize academic impact and minimize disruption.
